The stock drive clutch is a dry type with grease. Somebody had installed 1/2 pint of 90 weight oil in it. Comments on advantages and disadvantages. On an another note I have taken a stock clutch to Chris at cw racing engines. He is modifying the clutch to accept readily available springs. We will see how it goes , and I will report back. Thanks

I always wanted to remove the cover on the stock clutch and remove that 2 lbs of grease they put inside then close it up again :-)

How much will the new spring raise the RPM's?

I would not mind going back to the stock clutch again if I could raise the stall speed a little.

After the mods to the stock clutch, comet springs can be used. I havent got the clutch back yet, so I cant comment on the results. I guess the stiffer the spring the higher the engagement. One drawback, because of the thicker diameter of wire in the Comet springs, the spring will bottom out, so a slight reduction in top speed. Once I get the clutch back Ill report. I know there is a lot of interest in moding the stock clutch, and Chris is the only person I know who has had success with it.
