I saw another post about where to buy an aftermarket aluminum pony-keg style fuel cell. Does anybody know which size is the best. Is the 5 gallon too big. I ride mine pretty hard and for long distances. The only tanks I have looked at are from coyote gear. Any advice will help. Thanks!

The problem with the aftermarket spun aluminum 5 gallon tanks is that when mounted, some of the tank protrudes outside of the frame which in my opinion isn't a god idea.

I have the stock tank and the Coyote Gear 2 gallon tank for 6 gallons total all nice and neatly tucked inside the frame.

What about the 4 gallon? My original tank is not connected and It needs a good cleaning inside and out. The guy I bought it from made it sound like it would be easier to add a fuel cell. He had a lawnmower gas tank hooked up to it, but its already leaking. I have to do something pretty quick.

If you don't have a problem with the mounting of a radiator, then you can also elect to go with a racing fuel cell. Go to summitracing.com and do a search of fuel cells.

Why would I need a radiator?

Some of us with FL350's run a water cooled head, thus the need for a radiator.

How would I go about hooking it up with a radiator? Is it Honda parts or is it aftermarket?

The head is aftermarket.....

Radiator can be aftermarket or from a quad. I use an aftermarket Banshee radiator.....

Now if you use a vertical tubed radiator such as that for a Banshee, then you can use the thermosiphon effect for water circulation. If you use a horizontal tubed radiator then you will have to run a water pump such as an auxiliary pump like one out of a Mercedes Benz or a Volkswagen.

You can use electrolysis to clean up the stock tank. Put it in the search bar. Randy J, rarerat, and I think big head have all had success with it. Lots of good write ups here. Few bucks and a couple days. If you have a stock tank the best solution is to use it. No aftermarket tank will fit as good as stock unless that akpilot guy builds it. Then add a small auxiliary if you need more than 4 gallons.
