I am looking for the elusive Fl350 brake arm p/n 43362-VM0-771. This is the arm that the e-brake cable attaches to......you know the one that always strips out.

Its number 16 in the picture.

I would still place a order with a bike shop u never know what you might find. I will place orders in Oz for
discontinued bits and so go to back order and then turn up.

I will send a do you have request to 20 Honda dealers across oz asking if they have a item in stock.
I also ask to check dead stock as well. again it if amazing what is out there.

I should have a few of these some place off a Pilot problem is I don't know where and the place I need to start looking is now blocked by a pile of other stuff neck deep lol, I removed mine from my Pilot years ago then I bought a new rear caliper and it came with a bracket and it was removed too, I just use a velcro strap around the brake lever to hold the brake on, leave the velcro strap around the yoke like a wrist restraint, I also removed the handle cable and hardware, the velcro weighs 100% less than the parking brake setup :-)

If you get around to digging them out I would take whatever you have.

Thanks, Rand

You use a velcro strap to replace #16 in the parts diagram above? I need photos to understand that.

Yes the velcro strap replaces a human squeezing the brake lever. :-)

I'll have to post to see if anyone owns a TRX400EX or a TRX450R and have them measure the length of the arm.

Here is a pic...

And no, I do not have any spares -- I dug through all my boxes & bins last night.

Didn't someone sketch the part up somewhere on PO.com? I swear I've seen the sketch w/ dimensions.

The one on my 1999 400EX measures about 1.5" from the center of the bolt to the center of the cable, if its too short you can cut and splice in a piece?

Thanks Hoser, Looks like it might work.

The next question is, what is the size of the opening on the 400EX lever v/s the diameter of the barrel that is on the end of the Ody brake cable.

Another question is....are the Ody and Pilot cable ends the same diameter?

The TRX400 and TRX450R use the same arm.
The arm is 7mm shorter and the cable hole is 1mm smaller than the FL350.

But, you could drill out the cable hole to the same as the FL350, 8.2mm.
The slot for the cable is the same size.
The down side is the thickness of the material from the hole to the edge will be a little thinner, but this is not the usual failure area so it may be acceptable (but do this at your own risk, the owners manual clearly states to use the correct genuine Honda parts).

The lever will be 15% harder to pull, but this is better than what you have right now (nothing).
You could try to splice in a section but I do not think this is worth the effort.

The end that mounts to the caliper is the same shape and the clocking is the same.
The arm thickness is the same.

The 400/450 arm is the best fit in the parts catalog.

The FL400 arm is even longer and the cable hole is 6.5mm, not a good fit.
