Ah, the ol' "the carburetor needs a cleaning" line. That's been known to translate to "I have no idea why, but it runs sh!tty" -OR- "It has problems and I just want it gone."

My dads neighbor just bought a 49 willys jeep. Pretty cool looking but tiny. Needed paint and seats for sure but it wasn't rusted out and seemed to run good. I saw the semi stop out front and start unloading it. I just watched wondering what he was doing. Next thing I know he came cruising in and asked me to sign for it. I said I don't think anybody here ordered this thing lol. I read his paperwork and saw the name. Followed him to the neighbors and gave him a ride back to his truck. Can't wait to see it done. Guy drives an old restored Mercedes SUV that looks like its out of the 70's now. It's like new.

When I was a kid, 16 or so I had a 46 Willys CJ2a with a 283 Chevy shoe horned into it. Bought it like that but drove it like it was stollen. If I only knew what I know now I would still have that beautifull old girl. Man she was fast and would pull the front end off the ground sometimes.
