Hello I would like to let everyone know that I bought a used tire from shoubadaba back in March when he had his Big pile of pilot parts for sale. He told it was a screaming deal for the used oem tire so I sent him the money but he didn't bother to send the tire. I have tried many times to get him to send the tire and he told me it got lost in the mail and it ended up in a warehouse in California but luckily they found it and would ups the tire to me tomorrow this is back on May 15th this was also are last conversation he has not replied to other messages.I have sent since ,asking for tracking number and have you sent the tire, no reply back. He has been told of the situation and that this would go public and he has chosen to still not get in touch with me. Beware of Bad seller SHOUBADABA

I have to defend this seller, I have done many transactions with him over the years with not 1 problem, nothing recently however but all the past times nothing but good positive feedback, sorry just my 2 cents.

Wow, I agree with mud, I've had many deals with him earlier this year and all went very well. He actually sent me a long travel front end before I ever even paid him for it... Hope all is well and your deal come through for you though

I have to agree with Mud. I have had a few transactions with him and had absolutely no problems. I hope this is resolved for you. I also hope that everything is ok with him because he usually replies quickly.

Give Rusty a break, Everything is not ok with him right now. It will all get worked out but right now he needs some space. When he is ready he'll pop in and do what he needs to.

You could have worded this a little better. Instead of attacking, explain your issue and ask the guys here if they have heard from shoub or if someone that knows him can help you (Halorising).

This isn't Egay. Your not giving 1 star review.... This is a forum.

Well guys I had some some questionable dealings about a year and a half or 2 years ago. Bought some parts that were supposedly good, took 2+ months to ship, and they were junk when they got here. I just forgave it. A couple hundred bucks doesn't change my life and I figured he must have had a reason for it so I just let it go. I later heard from a couple other people that the same thing happened to them. If they want to share their situations they will. They will read this thread. I don't have a problem with the guy but would I buy something else from him? No.

Perhaps Meggitt will speak up it sounds like Rusty didnt come through on shipping parts to him.

I can not speak for Meggitt but I can cut and paste the messages he sent to me trying to get his parts he paid for, below in Blue is the message he sent to me, looks like not only has Rusty given himself a bad name but is dragging others members into his problems.

Hi i wonder if you can help as i don't want to make a public fuse in case its a mistake but i have sent shudaba or similar members name on here around 400 dollars for a power block plus he collected a transmission pulley of another member, nick i think that i paid 250 dollars for i also have a new prox rod that i have had sent to him as i but his blown Engine previously and also a set of front shocks sent to him,
the problem being now i cant get any response from him, i can see he has read was of my last messages but no response from that one either. is he still on here or do you have direct contact details,

Kindest regards Christiaan

hi yes correct members name, the transmission pulley was from members name socalgii if you can read my messages its all traceable, the reason i had the parts sent to shoudabbia was because when i bought the Engine, race carb, race CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition), K and N filter for over 1000 dollars he agreed to box up other bits so one postage cost i spoke to him last the end of February beginning of march but due to personal reasons i have ran out of money to buy the other parts needed, i have listed my buggy because i have spent another 700 or 800 in parts that are sat at his house while he tried to source some arms for me, so now i have spent around 2000 dollars on parts, half i have have he has plus what i spent in the uk and i am no where near the end sight now, forgot he still has all the nut and bolts to bolt the Engine back together he sent over but forgot those bits in the box. the front shocks were bought of ebay from a member on here and the rod was new from a supplier a cr500 prox one.

Meggitt wrote:
I think the shocks came from cruz_01 but cant promise, i have emailed directly to see if any response, thanks Christiaan

This was back in June I sent another PM to Meggitt yesterday to see if this has been resolved no reply so far, I believe Meggitt said he was from the UK.

Regardless of Rusty's past obviously something has changed and he is no longer doing business as he has in the past so all perspective buyers need to be very aware of this before parting with their money in the future.

Oh crap, I think you bought works shocks from me and wanted me to ship them to Rusty. Did you not receive the shocks yet??

Well, I think I'm going to have to eat some crow.. Seems like more people are coming out with issues they have had with Rusty. I hope Rusty will resolve the issues and we all move on from this.

I just talked to rusty and I'm going to get everybody's parts and handle the shipping. All the parts that are going to the UK are boxed up and ready to go but it appears to be a really big heavy box and there are some question as to the shipping amount. I'll find out what the shipping will cost PM me your addresses. What do you guys think its going to cost to ship an 80 pound box to the UK

I have a box waiting but did not know what to do. Suddenly postage has doubled two clutches two shocks and a con rod plus all nuts and bolts to reasemble Engine i bought from him that did not get sent last time with Engine.
The postage he asked me for was 650 dollars. I can ship a pilot for that nearly. if anyone can help me as i have given up building my pilot i cant afford to rebuy the parts or the postage for the bits at rustys.
Thanks in advance

Am I being stupid, two clutches, two shocks, con rod some nuts and bolts, 80 pounds in weight, 6 stone my ten year old weighs less. If these bits weight 80 pounds a complete pilot must weigh 3 tonnes.

I have no idea what shipping cost would be I have never shipped anything over seas but you might ask someone that has, 650 dollars sounds high unless it has something to do with the exchange rate?

If you want to sell the parts to someone here in the states your probably going to have to post detailed pictures and detailed descriptions of the parts and list them in the for sale section.

I am sorry your Pilot project has went bad and you will not be finishing I was looking forward to seeing it finished and running again.

I have shipped a complete Engine from a pilot to Australia for 392 dollars, and shipping to UK is way less. the problem is the size and weight of the box you could use a flat rate envelope for probably under 20 to ship connecting rod. the Sharks would be less than 100 to ship, and the clutches would be also, just put the Engine bolts in the flat rate box with the connecting rod. make three small boxes instead of one huge box and your shipping will be less than half. you can go on USPS website with the dimensions of the box if you have the guys address and can figure it out in less than a minute.. anytime you ship overseas a few smaller boxes is always better than one huge box.

It just cost me $127 to ship a rotax 2 cylinder snowmobile Engine complete with carbs, Y pipe, electric starter, and TRA clutch. From the US to Australia, this was an amazing deal though, don't know how the guy did it but it was shipped FedEx. From memory it weighed 120 lbs.

It cost $800 to ship a Drakart from the USA to Australia plus government rip off costs when it arrives.

WTF So it sounds to me the $650.00 shipping quote was just a ruse so the buyer would not want to ship it and to spoil the deal?

Why not just tell the buyer it will be Ten Gillion Bazillion dollars if you want your parts in this lifetime?

And nobody ever thought of sending it in two boxes so it was less than 70 lbs WTF

So if I wanted to ship a basket ball and the only box I had in my shop at the time was a refrigerator box I should pay the extra 500 bux to ship it LMAO

Sorry this has been a bug bear for months

Yes Rusty he seems to be a knowable guy and helps out but

This is my story

Year and a half ago I Bought a FL350 frame from shoubadaba. I want a good clean straight frame. Sent pix looked good $250.00 us Plus Shipping 450.00 AU
When it arrived the top gear box mount and the Air box / fuel tank bar was cut out and re welded. But fixable but had to spend 100.00 Au cutting it out and strengthening it . Looking back at the pix the way they were taken you could not see the cut out and re welded bits.

I should of learn't my lesson

Then a Good in speck bottom end came up.

Fl350 bottom end tight and well in spec clean without stator and flywheel. 210 shipped post dated 29 April 2013

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12095

Done the deal and also a Fuel tank and Engine and gear box frame mounts

Same thing never arrived
Spoke to importer the parcel was never deliver to the depot on 25 different occasion

Emailed back and forth with shoubadaba. (( Rusty ))
I was told it was deliver personal on such a date etc etc etc
Countless emails back and forth

Then he re sent the way wood items

Arrived. 1/11/2013 7 Months later

“””As per Email To ((( rusty ))

Thanks for the bits
Engine chassis mounts GOOD
Cyc Head nuts GOOD
2 seal / J arms rubber good
Bottom End ? well
Tank. Work in progress “””

Engine chassis mounts were same as the picture he sent me in early May
So that makes me think it was never sent

Bottom end was not the one in the picture
Bottom end fell apart
crank welded ( paper weight )
Crankcase also worn
Had tanks looked at ( now in the scrap bin with bottom end )

I must Admit that “”Rusty”” did give me back what I paid for the Engine.
But it still cost me to get the stuff here and a lot of rooting around with Phone call and Emails

But I will NEVER EVER Deal with Him Again

And I would cringe every time I saw a for sale post

That’s my story

Adrian

I wish you would have came forward sooner.

This site is suppose to be a safe place to come for Pilot or Odyssey assistance, so feedback is important.

None of us here do this for a living its all just a hobby us here just happen to have Pilots and Odysseys in common with everybody that frequents this site, nobody is 100% so sooner or later something is going to go wrong and their will be problems, again were not doing this for a living, I can guarantee shit will go wrong and I expect it, I never expected anybody to be 100% and everybody has a bad day, week, month and sometimes longer but when things go wrong, and I think most will agree its how its handled or dealt with that matters the most.

If anybody else has had problems or bad dealings with others on this site or in the rest of the Pilot Odyssey world please let us know, I always hope things can be resolved without drama and out of the public eye but when its a deal gone wrong please share the details so others realize what could happen and it helps others to realize what needs asked or done to ensure future Pilot Odyssey task works well for them, on the flip side when things go right share the details with us so we can learn it might help us become successful in the future too, were all in this together I think we long ago weeded out the mutts who came to the Pilot Odyssey world just to scam and make a buck off others who share the same interest .

When you share your experiences good or bad be fair provide as much details as possible ALL experiences good or bad can be beneficial to all members here.

My main concern has always been someone using this site as a spring board to take advantage of others whether it was for monetary profit or to satisfy other emotional or mental profit/agendas, this is suppose to be fun for all us like minded fools not stressful.

Again thanks for sharing what you know I am sorry it did not work well.
