Does anyone have a 1990 pilot with the fuel catch tank on it? If you do could you please take some pics of how it mounts together and on the frame from top and bottom please?

If I remember correct, it just hose clamps on. There aren't any bolts mounting it to the frame. I could be wrong though. It's been a few years since I owned my '90

Here is a tank from a 90. Don't quote me, but I want to say it had just one small bolt that went to the frame and the male end on the bottom sat into a ring on the frame.
I hope it helps..

Looks like I was wrong lol. That dog ear must be for a mounting bolt.

I was looking for pictures of the frame bracket because I am mounting this on an 89 and I need to make something to mount it. Also I am puzzled about how it catches fuel with the hole on the bottom. If you plug it then the carb and gas tank will not vent. I have the 90 gas cap because that was the only one I could find NOS when I noticed the original was bad and I thought the catch tank would be a good idea because I have to run that hose somewhere.

Mas, the set of bundled hoses go to the carb, the long hose is your vent, and the hole on bottom does have a plug. It looks to be missing in the pics that rarerat sent and the one I sent you too. I'm out of town but when I get back I can snap some pics of the bracket on my 90 pilot:)

Thanks Pilot bird I really appreciate it. I can find a plug for it no problem but how does that being hooked to the fuel tank and the carb allow it to vent properly? I am scratching my head.

Mas, sorry, I am wrong! The drain plug stays open and the long single hose goes to the gas cap. Straight from the 90 owners manual. (See Pic)

Pretty green CV cup - What's up with that, is it new or what?

I think the 90 pilot's all came with the green cv cups.

Maybe some other 90 pilot owners can confirm?

Cups are original to the vehicle, not new.

Ya - I think you are correct on the 90s being green. It sure looks clean. Sorry but new Fl400 axles and associated parts get by blood pumping. I thought maybe you had replaced them.

I hear you on the parts, me too!

I was fortunate enough to find a good 1990 pilot that was stock and hardly used:()

That make more sense to me. I couldn't figure out how it would be able to run plugged.

Fabrication on hold because we are being bombarded by smoke. I guess most of Northern Cali is on fire.
