it came apart. and the other half is missing. threads stripped half it flew off, dented my ehxaust and frame and is missing. since threads and shaft r messed up of remaining inner half, it is no good either.

That sucks! for the price of these things now, it would have been worth it to go find all the pieces. Where were you riding? Usually you come to a quick stop when the clutch stops working. :-)

As mud said, the clutch is held on by a bolt that threads into your crank, not the inner half of the clutch. The bolt may have stripped, but the crank is probably fine. If you found all the parts you could just replace the bolt and youd be good to go. The powerblocs are very durable!

the parts are lost. kids and i searched for about anhour or so. it was in a track in the woods it flew off literally in the air mid jump, i landed and rolled like 20 feet or so. took me a minute to figure out what was going on,when lifted off the ground i heard the bang of the clutch hitting all the other metal, it dented the crap out of my head pipe and my frame on its way out. then the Engine went into full rev wen i landed so i let it roll for a few to get off the track and out of harms way of the dirtbikes coming behind and zooming past me. inspected the scenario and searched for the clutch parts. after an unsuccesful search, i was charged with the next awful task. getting the pilot through all the muck and out of there all the way back to the truck.........

That's sucks!

I had one come off in the woods also. I kept looking on the left side of the trail, makes sense right? Guess what, it was on the right side! Bolt was still through the outer cover and spring was still in the inner sheave. Pucks were right in the middle of the trail.

the inner "fixed" part of the clutch is still on. the flat disc part that the belt gos against and a long smooth shaft sticking out with a threaded hole. the end of the shaft that's sticking out looks messed up. i only found a spring. though i understand the basics and concept of how it works i never messed with a centrifical clutch before, the powebloc was on it wen i bought the pilot years ago. i will say that the inner fixed plate and shaft that's on seem to be held on by somthing as they did not want to pull of by hand, or i assume i will have to use a puller. i also assumed the clutch would be on a shaft coming from the crank and hav sum sort of key or wedge to spin the inner fixed part of the clutch wen the Engine is running. so i assumed the long smooth shaft i saw was part of the clutch that the outside non fixed part slid back and forth on to engage and disengage. any of this correct or am i way off?

Yup, your close. The inner half has a female taper and the crank is tapered, its not going to fall off or come off by hand. You need a puller, which uses the threads in the shaft that you see sticking out.
The outer half also slides on the shaft you see sticking out , like you said. Search for powerbloc, tons of info here on them.

EDIT; actually go to the bottom of the page...

ok, so the shaft i see sticking out is that the actual shaft from the crank or is that part of the clutch? if im using its threads to pull off the inner hafl it makes me think its part from the crank and im only pulling the inner plate from the clutch off and the shaft stays. i ask because the end of that shaft is damaged. and im hoping not to have to replace the shaft from the crank.

The shaft sticking out is part of the clutch, it will come off with the inner half as one piece. The crank snub is pretty short. Crank threads are pretty tough too, so probably the bolt just came loose or stripped.

The puller is just a bolt and a spacer or rod that threads into the end of the clutch shaft and pushes on the INSIDE BOTTOM of the crank snub hole. It has to bottom out in the hole, don't want to touch the threads. Again its all here....somewhere.
