Im selling my 89 Pilot in excellent condition. It has the CR500 conversion modified FL400
Engine that was rebuilt by Hoser who is well known in the Pilot Odyssey community for his quality top notch Pilot and Odyssey Engine rebuilds (top end and bottom end rebuilt), and crank was rebuilt by Speedchaser, I have put about 15 hours on the rebuild. The CR500 Engine conversion was performed by ATV Racing in Arizona, the CR500 Engine modification consists of a CR500 cylinder mounted to the FL400 bottom end. So you get a 500cc Engine with gobs of torque instead of the stock 400cc. The Engine rebuild consisted of all new crank bearings (Japan C3),all new Honda seals, gaskets, Wiseco piston/rings, Honda mechanical seal, rebuilt crank with new rod and both big and little end bearings, new cool head, new hoses, new V Force reeds petals, static compression is 160, Compression Ratio is near stock, Im sure Im leaving some stuff out. During the rebuild I decided to install a modified Keihin PWK 39 Stryker carburetor and custom intake built by Ron at Pulse Engeneering, the jetting can be done on the fly with a flat head screwdriver just like the dial-a-jet with this carburetor, I have the cut sheets which can explain all this but it is jetted properly at this time, right now a little on the rich side, you don't have to mess with it unless you like to "tweak" stuff. Also new is the Comet 102c driven clutch with the Thundershift kit, this clutch has been "set up" with the proper spring and weights to run 7000 rpm for maximum torque from 0 to top speed. Among other goodies is of course the ATV Racing Long Travel modification performed to the front and rear suspension fitted with AXIS shocks with reservoirs which gives you more travel over stock and a wider rear tire stance since axles have been lengthened a couple inches, CR500 ceramic coated pipe, digatron instrument panel displays RPM Coolant Temp,EGT and speed, stainless brake lines, front and rear bumper, full skid plate, heat shield, beard seat, Axis shocks with reservoirs, rear suspension has been tweaked from ATV Racing's stiff "set up" to a more comfortable ride, Skat Trak Hauler paddle rear tires douglas rims, the front rims are very close to the stock offset, LED headlights, aux radiator, prefilter, new Honda OEM coolant overflow tank, powdercoated frame with no rust at all, ATV Racings chromoly roll cage. Lots of maintanance has gone into this Pilot including lubricating and proper torqued bolts to Honda manual spec, all steering wheel switch contacts were cleaned and lubed with dielectric grease, silencer repacked, driven clutch serviced, CV boots replaced with Honda OEM and bearings repacked as needed. All modifications or upgrades were meticulously installed. Im sure Im leaving somestuff out look at the pics, this Pilot is turn key, get in it and ride! I hate to sell her but my wife and I decided a two seat dune buggy is going to fit our needs better at this time. This is an extremely clean Pilot, Ill ship it anywhere but you will have to set up with the shipping carrier, I have used uship and it was a painless process. Im wanting $8000 firm.
