not mine. just seen it on race dezert thought i would share
http://www.race-dezert.com/classifieds/ ... s&id=95015

Complete MTEG Superlite built by Briggsbuilt back in the late 80's or early 90's. The idea was to build it for my daughter but she has since lost interest to horses....go figure. Sooo, her loss is your gain. Originally these went for $15-$20k, but yours at a steal for $1800. It is complete but will need a ground up prep. Was told it ran when I bought it but has not run for 2 plus years. Piston is free in the cylinder and has compression. Fuel cell located under the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) is junk and will need to be replaced. Own a piece of off road racing history as it was once driven by NASCAR's Brendan Gaughan! Not a fire sale....

This must be a very early Briggsbuilt looks like it has a FL250 steering yoke and a FL350 transmission?
FL350 based Engine unknown water coooled head? don't see a fuel tank looks like it has sat outside for a while.

Very cool! Good luck H'

That guy is VERY into offroad racing.

I think he's the guy that just restored a very early Mickey Thompson racecar.

He's also a fantastic and very popular offroad artist, Probably everyone on here has seen his offroad drawings at one time or another.

EDIT...yup..heres his site, Ive been a big fan of his for many years. I knew he bought that car for his daughter, I was hoping to see what he did with it. Check out his artwork!

Scrutinizing the pictures closer are the red arrows movable spacers to change the caster in the front suspension? Move one or more to the rear position to change the caster angle?

If its a 350trans, are those cv axles on an adapter to fit the male output shaft splines? Or has the output shaft been swapped?

I can see tabs for a caliper, I would say they had them, just not installed in the pics.

GEN II car. They used suzuki quadracer calipers and rotors for the front brakes. Should have a rpm sandcast trans case that looks like a 350 ody trans, they did not come with a 350 ody trans. Shims on the front a arms are for caster adj. That set up works very well. Odd to see a fl250 steer yoke on it, cut that off asap and reinstall the quick connect spline/collar set up. Looks like it needs a LOT of work to get it back in action.

Thanks for the info, will I even fit into this thing at 6' 1" tall ?

Thought they all had steering wheels and foot controls?

I have not heard anything since the first email he sent me.

Your head will be hitting the roof even with your back arched a bit. I am the same height as you and find fit and comfort is not the goal of this car. That seat is the old old version of the beard suspension seat, very narrow. The seat is terrible for guys our size; but about all you can really fit in there width wise too, it will dig into your hips and make you want to ride the pilot instead, they were made for smaller guys in mind. Even with mine resting on the floor, my head would rub the roof panel. Your knees will be pressed up against the lower dash panel/bar. I added a lot of padding in that area. I have never seen one with a yoke type steering assembly. The rack and pinion will have too much angular motion to work with a yoke type assembly. You are correct on the foot controls. With longer legs, you will be able to lock your knees in to the dash bar to keep your feet from bouncing around. You will need to wear low pro sneakers. The tips of your shoes will rub the cage/hood area from time to time and cause your butt cheeks to sqeaze in a bit from unintended WOT (Wide Open Throttle) acceleration and or lack of braking action.....

Thanks for the detail, what about installing a stock Pilot seat think that would help I know the Beard in the Pilot consumes a lot of space and is not good for taller drivers, also what a about a Engine swap like to a 440 sled Engine and room for this, I would want to make it a bolt in swap like my Pilot so I could go back to the original setup in the future. I would be fully testing the 350 Engine first of course :-)

I think the thin aluminum style seats with a thin cover give the most room, like a Kirkey drag style seat.

It's probably savable. I had a Triple EEE here once that had the same issue with the beard seat not accommodating a wide body driver (some FAT guy I know of). I pulled off the seat cover and just cut and widened and lowered the tubular seat frame sides. Put the same cover back on and it just stretched wider and deeper on it's own with use. It was still tight but much better on the hips and it also made more head room to get your butt deeper into the seat. I have no pics but I do have another Triple EEE here that I will be doing the same to at some point.
