I was told to pull the grey wire(shoudl be the one) from the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition). I want to confirm it's the grey wire.
I tried a search but did not come up with anything.

You should check the Change switch on the Transmission or the connector. And fix it instead of disconnecting it. This should be fairly easy to test, The Gray wire goes from the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) Unit to the Change Switch Through one connector.

the reason I want to disconnect it, is because when I changed to the powerbloc clutch I noticed that reverse was sluggish. This is when I was told to disconnect the rev limiter. Si I don't think there is a fix needed.

I assume that means you can go as fast backwards as you can forwards, anyone tried a reverse jump in a pilot :-)
NO DO NOT DO IT!

I have not tried it "yet" any one know how to remove the rev limiter on the 800 ski doo Engine I have in my other pilot? Now that would be fun :-) And a "bit" dangerous

I just clipped the wires near the switch in the tranny, removed the switch, and threaded in a short bolt. I just soldered the wires together in a end that fit the batter bolt, then shrunk wrap it, and grounded it right at the battery, works great! I just need to put some of that plastic wrap to protect it.

I did this on a 350...not sure if it's the same on a Pilot but I don't see why it wouldn't.

Fix is very low tech...i just put the stripped end of a ground wire into the plug that goes to the tranny....that way you can take it off if you want and everything is back to stock. It's been yrs, so I can't remember which wire to ground out, but you should be able to figure it out by looking at the plug and the wires.

Hope this helps.

Brooks

I ran a wire up to the front to a switch on the steering wheel so I can use it as a selective Over-ride just like ATVs have. The switch is a normally open momentary push button.
