This will be a good test to see if there is still an interest in the FL400 plastics. How high will she go?

Seems to me pilot parts have flattened off.

Opening bid $1200.00 - reserve not met.

The only comparable sell right now that I know if is a goofy guy in Arizona :-) with 2 new OEM side panels listed. Sides alone have gone for more than 2K. I wonder if the minimum will be met?

Just another reason why I want to build a vacuum former this winter.
Even though I own FL350's I bet I can make fenders.
If I owned a pilot I sure as hell would be trying to make my own.

I do not know about the 350, but the pilot fenders and sides are complex in design. I doubt a vacuum molding process would work well. but if you are not going for the OEM design, a guy should be able to come up with something that would work.

The front skid and roof should be able to be vacuum formed. The radiator cover, radiator grill, foot tub, steering column cover, no way.

If some yoyo is going to charge me $2000 for plastic I would sure as hell give it a try,
But you are correct, some of it is complex.

Not a new record, but still a good price. Looks like they are still holding their value. Good to know. Just wish I had a set. Spent all my money on mechanical parts.
