That is for the old style keyed cover, don't be a moron like Rudedude and order that number, tell them you want one with the update cover that does NOT have the keyed shaft and cover.... It will be like the HRD clutches it just wont have the rounded cover.

Thank's hoser, so the update cover does not have the D washer retainer in the cap? What does it have? Is this newer version a direct bolt on, any alignment probs? I am not familiar with the HRD. Thanks again.

Right, no D washer no D cut on the end of the shaft its just smooth and flat.

The outer over of the HRD is rounded and the ALT is not.

After searching around and finding bits and pieces of pics and threads leftover from the hack. I still cant find a part number for the Powerbloc ALT clutch for Pilot. I wanted to try to locate one online . I found these guys http://www.royaldistributing.com/Catalo ... ge124.html. They are comparable with ATV racing prices. I guess Ill have to bite the bullet and just get from ATVR:(

I thought the place in Cali had them? Theres a big discussion here somewhere about them. The guy witht all the powerbloc parts was going to replace all his clutches with them.Shoubadaba knows the guy,he was a big stadium lite racer.

I think the guys name is Peter Kay?

The company name is three letters...like DTS...?

I thought he had already closed his business and retired before he passed away not sure who had took over the sales after he retired if anybody.

Probably all that is left is ATV Racing selling them?

Years ago ludedude put together a group buy maybe another Canadian member here can work out a group buy with IBC viewtopic.php?f=28&t=5777

Think last time someone researched they were pushing a newer model clutch and it was almost 500 bux? the value of the power bloc was the ALT model that only cost 180-270 bux if your going to spend 500 bux might as well go with the 102C and save some money.

Found it, QDS, this is where Peter Kay was buying his from. Web site sucks, but supposed to be real good guys to deal with. And it is the PB80, my mistake. Looks like they are a distributer for CVTech.

We need to get in touch with the guy(if it was Peter) that was replacing all his PB90s with the 80s and find out how they work.

OH, and they are using these on GM Eco-techs.

Heres a blow up on the 50, looks like the 80? http://www.royaldistributing.com/Catalo ... ge124.html. Anything else I should ask them?

If your thinking group buy we need to contact CVT Tech group buy right from them looks like they put a 100% markup on the price in your links I think I paid 180 each on the last group buy.

Good price, how long ago was that? I got a hold of Roy with Quality Drive Systems, they are a distributor for CV Tech. I don't see any reason we cant buy directly from CVT Tech unless you have to be a retailer? Roy at QDS said that when anyone called looking for the ALT, he would send them to Harold. I told Roy to give us his best price for a calibrated clutch. I also said we might be able to get a group of guys to purchase. I waiting for a price quote. Ill see if he is negotiable. Ill try to get a hold of CVT Tech, Ill have to brush up on my French!!

Sounds good thanks for the leg work, the language barrier has been the problem in the past when dealing with CVT Tech my last attempt to talk to them ended up with here is a email this guy is in the USA and will take care of you that guy wanted to sell me their new latest and greatest clutch for like 550 bux plus shipping said you cant buy the ALT any more, CVT Tech said they still sell the ALT, so the factory sent me to a dealer in the USA that is a bold face liar I have to new in the box ALT clutches so don't need the bullshit of dealing with people like this and gave up on trying to get a group buy, I hope you do better, I preserved documented all the factory numbers from the last group buy so we could buy another batch get the same thing the next time.

I hope you can make this work.

My past dealings with quality drive systems is its a guy that does this part time on the side (not a bad thing its good actually) his pricing is WAY HIGH I got the impression he is just a drop shipper then adds on 30-40% for wasting his time ordering and sending you clutch parts, I have no use for a drop shipper when trying to put together a group buy.

Ludedude was a strange guy but put together a great group buy on clutches this was in 2004?
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=464 then ATV Racing and HRD was getting about 275.00 for a Pilot clutch lude sold them to me for 180.00 each shipped.
