I just picked up a FL350 for $2000 off of ebay a couple weeks ago. I've wanted one since I was a kid, finally got one. It's in pretty good shape, I think, needs a little work, but it's all complete. I brought it home, checked it over, took it out for a good ride last weekend, even though the front brakes were non-existent. I was dusting my buddies on 4-wheelers down the trails- AWESOME. The fenders are a little rough, needs front brakes, and I'm re-plumbing the fuel lines. Looks like the tires are still original, and I doubt the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) or anything else has ever been touched.

I noticed there are some other VW heads on the site, cool. Among my other toys are a sweet 72 Superbeetle with a built 2276cc. It's running 13.70's in the 1/4 on street tires. Also have a 65 Notchback project car, and a few other toys.

Awesome site. I'll be on here a lot as I get into fixing up this ody.

Here's a teaser of the ody and a few of my other toys- been working all week...

The Ody found it's home though, fixed the fuel lines and brakes, just itching to take it out. I thought about a blast down the street tonight, but decided not to PO the neighbors.... guess I should wait til Saturday.

Looks nice!

What year is the VW, daily driver?

Where you located?

Notice the similarities between the VW suspension and the FL350 suspension?

Bug is a 72 Super, not a daily driver, just an occasional, nice weather ride. Yup, the front of the ody looks just like the beam setup on the standard beetles, cool. Mine's got struts though, now adjustable struts, and lowered a bit, with sport springs, sway bars, tower braces... it handles like it's on rails. 4 disks so it stops quick, too.

If the ody is anything like the bug, I'll spend more time fixing it up than actually riding it.

I'm in Apex, NC, right outside of Raleigh.
