I've been eyeing this place for awhile and thinking of a summer trip here. Perhaps coupled with some other ride spots in the Rockies. Basically, this is in western Colorado...beautiful area and about 4 hours from Denver.
This is the park and where to camp. Not too far off of I-70.

Early Settlers campground map. Nice location at the trailhead and close to the lake w/ what I would assume are nice views. Water/electric hook ups and showers/flush toilets.

Overview of the close-in riding...note: square blocks on this map are 5x5 miles.

Another area nearby that is supposed to be conencted, but I have not found that map yet...I believe it is part of teh Gunnison National Forest...more research soon.

I think most of these trails/roads are old logging and forest fire roads so they should be wide enough for our buggies...
Who wants to go? Late summer would be the best time for weather.
