When I recieved the machine, it had no filter from petcock to pump, and a short peice of 5/16 line which was actually kinked. Could not believe this, so bought a inline filter and ran 5/16 in a circular pattern up to the pump until I get a filter from Hillside. From the looks of the machine I am going to have my hands full, looks like previous owner was a zero maintenance kind of guy. Only saving grace is I like wrenching on my toys, but probably could have found a pilot in better shape.
Oh I feel your pain. I bought my pilot in Feb. and it took me two and half months to figure out all the screw ups the previous owner did to it. Actually, last Sat. was my first time I got to actually enjoy riding it. Well worth the work and frustrations
