 Post subject: clutch removal question

is it easyer to remove the stock drive clutch with the Engine in place in the frame or the Engine removed.thanks jim

if you have an impact gun its no problem either way. but if you are wrenching on it leave it in to remove the clutch, don't make my mistake lol

Tpreed nailed it, impact the bolt. If its the first time removing it, it may stick...badly to the shaft. DO NOT use a hammer on the sheaves, just incase you were thinking about it. I did a picture writeup quite a while back on drilling/helicoiling/and using a puller to remove it from the tranny shaft. you may have to use the search function to find the thread. Or maybe it will come off easily. Be sure to use some antiseize when reinstalling it. My 2 cents,
