Looks good Jim...nice work! The 10:1 30MM taper shaft(crank end) that the clutch fit on has some light rusting, as I am sure you noticed. Use some emory cloth the polish that clean then wipe a thin layer of anti-sieze on it before putting it back on. If it popped off easily, you did get lucky or someone had it off fairly previously. I have never had a clutch slip on the shaft, or at least that I know of. I use an impact when I put the clutch back on, just make sure you do not hammer the crap out of it doing that.

Also, clutch looks great...nice and shiney clean. Did you find some "Comet Clutch Lube" or equiv? It is nessisary to have lube that does not attract dirt and grit that will cause premature wear and corrosion. One more thing, if you ride in a lot of wet/muddy areas, a 102C dust cover will help keep the crap out of the clutch. I have a couple of them and like them for that reason but are a real pain in the ass installing them while the Engine is in the cage.

Make sure you air leak the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) before installation,I lapped a stock cage once and it leaked for some reason, was a pain in the arse to seal it,those seem to leak around the cage area anyway on the 350's.Nice work BTW-keep it going!!

Here are some pics of the 102C covers... I got one from a board member several years ago and got the other one from an Ebay sled clutch.

I do not know for sure. I am not even sure if Comet made them or if they were some kind of after market item. The ones I have are the only ones I have ever seen too. If you manage to find a source, let us know...others may want some too.

got my new keihin pwk 35mm carb today.got it with a 155 main and a 45 slow jet and cut one hoop off the idle spring to acheive perfect idle as per Mudbogger's recomendation.picked it up off of ebay 182.00 shipped to the house which i thought was a pretty good deal.fitted up the intake boots went right on no boiling required.the only thing i don't like is the reed intake.its brand new from honda but you can see in the pics that its starting to dry out.and that was in a sealed bag from honda.im not sure if im going to use this or try ordering another one.

Jim i had ordered an intake from honda just a little while ago and it came in the same condition. The rubber is still good to use i think, just a little oxidized.

I just got a NOS intake for a Pilot and it looked the same way I think its just a coating from the mold or something Honda sprayed on that dried up, I used WD40 and a rag and cleaned mine up looks good now and no cracks.

picked up some other small items today.clutch lube, reeds and an fl350 flywheel puller.the need to get list is gettin small hillside honda head and a new head gasket is about all i need.the head gasket will be the last item.i need to assemble the Engine so i can do a squish clearence to figure out what thickness i need.nukem recommended i go with a .055 to .060 he says that's the sweet spot.picked up a bosch 12 volt water pump that's from an audi car.i should have that next week.i orderd the power pros pipe 8 weeks ago and was told up to 12 weeks so i still have another month wait for that (i hope).hopefully i can get my cylinder welded up in the next week or two.my buddy just moved into a new house and hasent unpacked his welding equipment yet.

I have a bad pump somewhere and I think it has the connector. If it does, you can have it. I'll let you know...
