What are the minimum dimensions a radiator can be to efficiently cool a 350?

depending on the thickness of the cores and the material its made of and how many cfm fan is being used it probably can vary greatly. Most people seem to use a banshee radiator because of the cost. I have bought 2 for my watercooled fl250's and both were under $20. one was 99cents with a $14 shipping. use whatever fits nicely and is readily available in your neck of the world

Honda civic and Geo Metro radiators will also work nicely, and can be found for cheap.

You just cooling the head or both cylinder and head?

For just the head the Banshee radiator seems to be more than enough heck it should do the whole Engine, they usually go dirt cheap on evilbay I have seen stock ones go for 10 bux

Honda Goldwing rads are great as well, usually come with a fan that works well too, they cool head only on mine.Never had a issue.Like 10-20 bucks on EBAY.

I have cx500 rad's on mine, no pumps and that seems to keep them happy. cx500/gl500/ sliverwing all use the same rad. plus it stays Honda that way :-) Drak:

Thanks guys.

I was at a motorcycle wrecker Friday looking for a gas tank cap & saw all these road bike radiators & the minimum they wanted was $150 for a 250 radiator!!!

Just looking at the cost for things at the moment.

Banshee, huh? Might have to keep an eye on ebay.

Thanks again. :-)

I have used the Honda CX500 radiators with great results, with or without a pump, and still run one on one of my 350s. At $5 a pop on ebay, definitely a good buy. Honestly, any liquid cooling system and radiator will help tremendously on a 350 because that is its weakest link. If you are not going to run a pump, be sure to get a radiator that will flow with thermodynamic flow(thermosyphon)....(the radiator core horz/vert thing).

Gary :-)

I've been looking at the banshee radiators through the link Hoser posted & they look to be smaller than I was expecting them to be.

Does someone have a pic of theirs or another mounted so I can see how it sits?

Thanks.

Also, is this a waste of time or what?

Ahhhhh, I thought it looked different. Do you need a pump for it?

What make/model quad? That might be more accessible here in Aust.

you would need a pump with that one because the rows don't run vertical. the cooler is a waste, if you need more cooling just get a bigger radiator.
