I am looking for a fl400r cylinder sleeve on last bore as long as its not cracked. I am goin to be boring it out to 85mm so as long as I can go to that width I will be good. I would even be interested if it was on 1st bore as well.
Thanks

Awesome man. I was debating on goin up to 89mm bore but I wld have to change my whole setup and havent found a piston that will work w/ same pin height and pin diam w/o changing all off my port timings.

I am currently running a fl400 cylinder on my trx250r bottom end w/ a 7mm stroker crank a yz490 rod and a puma piston 85mm from calvin at cpi. What puts me at 448cc :)

Why don't you just go with one of Calvin's Sabertooth cylinders or see if one of his new Liger cylinders will work

So you can punch a stock pilot cylinder out to a 85mm and you can get pistons for it?

Wiseco will make pistons in just about any size you want you just need the money, their is a min order and each piston will cost you about 200 bux, so you could get them to keep making over sizes past what they currently make.

Back when people still sold pistons for the CR450 it many guys bored their Pilots to accept the 450 piston but you also need to change the head for the bigger bore you also need to adjust the ports since they change in height size and angle as you bore the hole larger.

Calvin Pollet was talking about making an bolt on adapter for that new cylinder he was making I assume it will also work on a Pilot since the CR500 and the Pilot bolt pattern is real close dunno what other changes would need to be made, I assume the crank cases would need bored bigger to accept the larger sleeve and the crank stroked.

Calvin makes the piston im currently using up to 85mm $150 a pop. I have been debating punching it out and goin w/ a 500 piston just havent had the time to research which 500 piston will work w/ my rod and still have the same pin height and diameter.

The saber is nice but heck by goin this route I have less than $1100 in whole motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) and im just shy of 100hp. As far as clutch side bearings goin bad I have never had any problems but then again im running this in my 250r. Strictly 300ft drags.

As far as pipe and ignition, Im running a shearer pipe w/ a cr ignition advanced all the way.

Here is a pic
