well it certainly is nice, and I am sure you will find someone to take it from you, with a given amount of time, but for each one you see go at a high price I see far more go for less, including all vintage atvs for that matter. We had one locally in very much the same condition go for 2k last year, granted it sold quickly. Since yours has a bent rear rim, I would guess it has been ridden well and may not be what you would consider "museum" grade. Most 350s I have seen in that price range will have a full set of mods and works shocks.

The pilot in your link has many aftermarket parts and is very clean, these items have increased its value, but you cant cite one example and expect it to summarize a trend. Most of us that have been in the hobby for awhile know what these things go for, and I have seen many pilots in the 3-4k range lately.

I just purchased an Odyssey FL350 in similar original condition, and it is just a blast to ride or drive depending on what you want to call it. Im like real crazy about my cars and bikes, and now dune buggies being in tip top looking and running condition. I like to see them all original the way they were in 1985. Good luck with your sale.

And BTW the mud packed in the beads on the inside of the rims is a real show stopper-let me see the underside pictures of that ride-I bet ya it got skid marks like a dragstrip. :-)

Bent rim? please. I love how folks try to "discount" the condition or price without seeing it in person. A low hour original is worth more than one modded up. I been around too. And for the fellow who found one for 1500, that looks like a great deal....at least it appears. fl-250's in avg condition get that around here. Blow all the smoke you want, I already refused $4k for it last fall......sight unseen, just pics.....which btw do not do it justice. don't blame me for prices you cant afford, if it was avg, I would have sold it for 2k years ago.

Here's another pic of my bent rims. lol.

there's no need to be nasty and snap insults. If you don't want anyone's opinion you shouldn't post your ad here. Making yourself look like a jerk is not a good way to convince a seller either. I can afford and pay cash for quite a bit more than you might believe, and I didnt reach that status by paying top dollar for everything I own. The bend in the left rear rim is evident from the last pic in your original post. funny you didnt include it in your recent pics. It wont lose the bead or anything, but it makes it obvious it has been ridden, and not just with grandma putting around the yard. I have bent rims like that and I know what type of hit it takes to do it. Like I said, I am sure you will find a buyer give the right amount of time, maybe on ebay, but for me and most folks IMO would rather have a machine that has been completely gone through, restored, rebuilt, modified and is in like new condition. I paid 2k for mine in that shape, but yes it was a good deal. Original sounds great on paper, but rebuilt like new and verified working sounds much better.

I did not post on here for your opinion. And its the bashers that look like jerks, not me. Thanks for your help anyway, I took a deposit on it saturday, despite the devastating "bent" rim which in your opinion suggests its a beater and therefore only worth what you paid for your "beater". A gentleman from VA saw it on atv.com :-)

thanks. I never wanted to ride it much as I bought it from the original owner who was an older fella....not a grandma.....and its clear the machine had liitle use, seemed a shame to use it. I have a rzr and a brute force for riding anyway. New owner claims that he will run it on his ranch and was looking for a clean original for some time. Guy will be paying like $800 to one of those bike shippers.

I wasn't kidding, and I am curious as to the new owner.Perhaps you can provide him with a link to this site?
Did you get what you were asking,as posted you declined a offer of 4 grand, if I may ask what mutt paid more for that 350,he needs to come here and I personally can let him know he got taken for a HUGE RIDE!!

That ride is in no way shape or form IMO worth anything near to the 4 grand you supposedly declined. Please before the new owner picks it up show me the underside of it.I hate to be rude, but your nuts and I think there is no way you got over 4 grand for that well ridden,"unmolested all original MACHINE"

oh BTW whats a STREET ODY? holy cow,I am going to explode!!!.A street ody.unless you live in the backwoods that's mud I see, wtf is a street ody? There made for off roading, and it appears you have used it many many times in the off road situations.Listen-I refrained before but now here we go:

Museum quality 350 odyssey????museum, were Iraq?WTF? Might as well told him it was show quality LMAO!
If you declined 4 grand your nuts,YOU SHOULD HAVE TAKEN IT AND RAN LIKE FOREST GUMP DID, that machine is well ridden, the paint and finishes on it are sub par at best-it has been molested like a --well I'll leave that alone. The TIRES,RIMS, motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )), HOSES, GUARDS,PLASTICS all show much usage-how many hrs on on the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )), what is the current bore, piston, hrs on the machine, you have provided nothing about the 'unmolested ALL ORIGINAL MACHINE"and claim to have declined 4 thousand for it?? my friend they are all unmolested!!!!,you can purchase one of these like getting a gallon of milk at the local store, WTF are you talking about? So, let me get this straight-the new owner has just bought for arguments sake a 350 for over 4 thousand dollars and now if he wants to upgrade and improve the ALL ORIGINAL machine he is going to spend mabye another thousand dollars, now he is up to 5 grand at the least, he can buy a UNMOLESTED ALL ORIGINAL PILOT FOR THAT!!! The thought of you telling everybody here of your all original and comparing it to mine is insulting and you haven't gotten a clue.Tell the new owner this is what real 350/pilot owners buy for 4 thousand dollars,(PIC ENCLOSED) he got taken for a ride like a amusement park.Your ride is a molested, well ridden machine that has everything a 1500-2000 machine does, sorry but that's the truth.
I'll build him 1 for 4 thousand that will be far superior to that, give him a link to the site PLEASE!!
