I hate to do it, but it’s time to sell my Pilot. Florida has completely shut down all riding areas for me making Durhamtown the closest place to ride. It’s an 8 hour drive one way and the 1 or 2 times a year I make it up there is just not worth it.

1989 Pilot nice condition. Many from the board have ridden with me and have seen it in person, so if you have any doubts on the condition of this Pilot just ask around. Someone you know has seen it.

Works shock all around (triple rate with res on rear, double rate no res on front).
Storage compartment roof,
Brand new (1 ride) power block.
Team tech 5 point harness (sub belt never installed),
Poly bushing front and rear (uppers only on rear)
Tires are about 90% (OEM's on front, holeshots XCT on rear)
Tie rods and rear arm's were "hoserised" with chomoly tubing (see picts) all are perfectly straight after 5 years.

About 5 years ago this Pilot was stripped to the frame, sand blasted and rebuild from the ground up. I did a rattle can paint job that still looks better than most Pilots I have seen. Lots of new parts were used in the rebuild to many to try and remember, about 4K worth including all new plastic, all wheel and axle bearings were replaced with NTN's, top end was redone at that time. I have included a few picts of the rolling chassis at the time of rebuild and one of it just completed.

This is not a trailer queen, it has been ridden like they were meant to be, always maintained and pampered when not on the trail.

I know this is not the best time to sell a Pilot but this one must go. Asking $6000.00 which will include a top end rebuild by Hoser. (you have to pull the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) and send it to him on his schedule). There is nothing wrong with the Engine but I know it’s time for someone to take a look inside and freshen it up. Who better that Hoser. If he finds something you or I didn’t know about. I'll pay him to fix it. (sorry this offer doesn’t include any porting or special Hoser treatments and must be done right away after the purchase).

If this Pilot is not sold in the next few weeks it will be parted out. (like I said it has to go) So if you have interest in parts, I will start taking requests now in the event this doesn’t sell.

If you want to see pictures of anything specific let me know.

I hate to see you sell you might ask a few of these guys whats left to ride in Florida
http://www.rzrforums.net/southeast-u-s/ ... orida.html

Anytime I see DC's Pilot it ran great and looked great, was well maintained, DC is a top notch guy open and honest no worries dealing with him I really hate to see him selling I hope he still hangs around here.

Seriously, take some time to sell the complete machine, hate to see them parted out.

Vultures... I can see them flying!!! I too hate to see them parted out... I think a guy needs to just buy the whole thing and keep it as a spare parts machine... I eventually would like to do this...

Good luck and keep in touch DC!!!

Wow... its like a wounded animal in the desert....the voltures are circling over head...

To answer a few questions:

The Pilot does have a clean Florida title and can be seen in Mount Dora Florida about 40 miles north of Orlando

I would delivery anywhere with in a days drive of Florida for $100. (cost of gas)

I may be interested in a trade for a clean 18-20 foot boat and trailer (must be ib/ob and have a cuddy cabin, no project boats)

I really would like to sell as a complete Pilot...but...I am keeing the list of parts requests I am getting and will set pricing and sell on a first requested basis in a few weeks.

Odykid...send the pictures and we will talk....

That Pilot's a total piece of CRAP!!!!!!!!!! Na just kiddin, DC does look after that toy. Those rims and shocks look all to familiar DC???? :-)
Better idea, why don't you leave Florida and go live where there aren't so many quad riders with no helmets and who are always shat faced?? They got all the ride areas shut down. PRICKS!

The plan is still to part it out if it is not sold. I am giving it until the end of August before I start parting it out.

What do you guys think - can you net more money from parts or from the whole machine? Even if i got more for the parts - it's a hell of alot of work to take apart and sell each part. Then after its sold you have to package and ship the parts to each buyer. Packing the fenders and tub etc, is a pain in the ars if you pack them right so they are not destroyed. not to mention the odd ball stuff that doesn't sell - then you gotta deal with that. I would be very suprised to see this machine parted out!!!
