so now his price went UP by $300? he was selling it for $2500 OBO, which i think is still too high concidering it needs a full Engine rebuild from top to bottom.

My thoughts exactly, seems some people like the idea of paying less at first on a machine, then sinking a ton of money into getting it running, instead of buying a running machine. with the cost of parts it doesn't work out with the Pilot. but you do get the enjoyment of building it

very true, building it how you want it is pretty fun. i would say $1500 would be a good deal for this pilot

It could probably be bought for around $2400.00. Put a "G" note into rebuilding it and have $3800.00 into a Pilot. Not bad really. Granted there are probably more things wrong with it however you would have that when paying 5 Gs for one anyways.

I have seen a few decent running pilots go for 3,500 and under lately.

I have not seen them that low, however I have not been looking.

Pilots are selling for about 3-4k less than they were selling for before the economy took a big dump. Use one of them craigslist searchers that searches nation wide and search for fl400 Pilot

Im a Pilot nerds I keep an eye on the selling prices all the time

That's really too bad. Kinda like what our houses are worth now!
