so now his price went UP by $300? he was selling it for $2500 OBO, which i think is still too high concidering it needs a full Engine rebuild from top to bottom.

My thoughts exactly, seems some people like the idea of paying less at first on a machine, then sinking a ton of money into getting it running, instead of buying a running machine. with the cost of parts it doesn't work out with the Pilot. but you do get the enjoyment of building it :-)

very true, building it how you want it is pretty fun. i would say $1500 would be a good deal for this pilot

It could probably be bought for around $2400.00. Put a "G" note into rebuilding it and have $3800.00 into a Pilot. Not bad really. Granted there are probably more things wrong with it however you would have that when paying 5 Gs for one anyways.

I have seen a few decent running pilots go for 3,500 and under lately.

Pilots are selling for about 3-4k less than they were selling for before the economy took a big dump. Use one of them craigslist searchers that searches nation wide and search for fl400 Pilot
