Here is the e-mail I got from them
December 18th is the last chance to come out and experience FDL before the full season starts next year. This event is going to be 3 50 mile laps of some of the best terrain you can imagine for UTV's and smaller moto powered buggies! The entry for FDL classes is $75 plus $25 for the IRC tracker. For this event we are not offering payback, but for 2011 all classes will have payback! For next year we will be having Trophy Kart racing on a special 2-3 mile loop for the under 16 racers, and for those 16 and over we will have a class for them to compete on the full length race course. Following the race we will be having a meeting for all those interested in running with FDL in 2011. This meeting will be your chance to ask any questions you might have for FDL or the promoter of the series Lou Peralta. We want to know what you want as far as courses rules etc. I have said this before but it needs to be said again, this series is for you the racer. After the meeting is complete the race course will be open to those who did not race the event to check out just what you missed out on. Come out and see what the future of Moto Powered Desert Racing looks like!
I am trying to line up the following volunteer positions prior to the 18th meeting.
1.Class Reps for each of the classes
2.Three man competition review board
3.And a three man rules committee
The Rules committee will be responsible for making any changes to rules for the individual classes. The Competition Review Board (CRB) will be responsible for dealing with rules infractions, penalties etc. I would like to have a volunteer pool of quite a few for the CRB to be able to draw three random names each race. Drivers reps will be responsible for bringing any issues that the drivers of that class might need resolved to the attention of the rules committee or CRB.
Registration is open for this event so get your entry in ASAP!

FORMULA DESERT LITES
pride_in_motion@msn.comUPDATE ON FORMULA DESERT LITES
FORMULA DESERT LITES (FDL) is trying to blaze a new trail in regards to promoting, rules and the enforcement of those rules. I have said from the beginning this series will be for the racers, I want your input. Well now I am calling for more than input on a thread or over the phone, I need you to take an active role in the running of this series. FDL has always planned on drivers reps to take the concerns of the individual classes and bring those to FDL. Also a rules board made up of those class reps and a three person rules committee who will be voted on by the members of FDL. FDL also plans on setting up a three person competition rules committee to enforce violations of both FDL rules violations but will also take an active role with the promoter and his race day rules enforcement. This three person committee could be a set in stone voted on board, or a group of three who are drawn from a pool of volunteers each race. This may sound like jury duty and in a way it is, but we need this to make the playing field level and as drama free as possible. We are having our first open meeting on December 18th following the final test event for 2010 in California City. This will be a special event, in that we would like you to bring your race (or play) vehicles to check out the course after the meeting, whether you race or not. We want you to see firsthand what we have to offer you in 2011. I am posting a separate thread on the Dec. 18th event and meeting, come out and lets make this series the best it can possibly be.
