Hello From NH...My name is Steffen. I have raced 450 class MX in NEATV and RMR for the better part of the last six years. Winning 8 championships. Its been fun for sure but the series is switching gears...NEATV is going to run Mini Buggies and Side X Sides this coming season. I have spoken with the administrator/president of the series and he will be willing to entertain the Idea of a Stadium Lite class for Pilot, Ody, and Revolt buggies. Anybody from New England or close enough to come participate that has an FL can hit this post to let me know what kind of interest this will create. The race schedule is not up and the dates are by no means solid yet for next year but I can tell you the series goes as far North as ME (Hemonds MX) and as far West as NY (Walden MX) and goes between April-October. The racing will be on scaled down MX tracks. (usually the intermediate track at any given location) I Myself have an FL that Im going to set up and run so now its time to call the rest of you out. :)

Being from CT, I would be interested. Have both a pilot and stadium lite. If it is anything more than a natural terrain MX track or has doubles then it is a no for me. Buggy jumps are a lot different than bike jumps imo. There is another guy in my area with a stadium lite that would probbaly be up for a race (if he still has it). Please post more info when you get it.

Yes...totally agree on buggy jumping. My pilot does some wild unpredictable things when being jumped. They are going to run the "B" tracks for most of the races and the jumps are not crazy but there are still some jumps for sure. You will have to give me some specs on the Stadium Lites you guys got...and hey if you ever want to meet up and ride give me a shout. Jehrico State Park is probably one of the best northeast venues to ride in NH.

The first race of the season was just confirmed...It is at Walden MX, Walkill, NY. It is April 30-May 1 two day event...not sure but I think the buggies and Trophy Karts are gonna be run on Sat. They have two tracks at this location and they both are pretty awesome. Its better than a four hour ride for me too...but worth the trip. The Sun. MX program is a full day of racing to watch as well...Lodging is avail in Newburgh, NY about ten min from the track. This may be the farthest south they go to run UTV and Buggies but again not quite sure. Hurricane Hills in PA was another southern series track but not sure if that particular weekend will include us...more info to come.

Sounds good, I've raced at walden back in the late 90's early 2000's. It was a good track back then. Any links to the promoters website?

Ok so I guess this is the way its going to have to go...Howard and I just spoke and he is open to anything worth a good racing experience. He wants to see if there are any guys willing to commit to a full seasons worth of competition...and if so he sets aside a class and rules for Pilots and Ody's. Otherwise its one of those "Maybe if there are enough guys coming" things that would be decided race by race. Just today he posted the classes for trophy karts and soon to follow will be UTV stuff Im sure...but no commitment to Pilots yet. He wants to see how serious each class will be and how many serious NEATV members will join to race each class before he sets aside the track time for race day...which I can understand. His words were "if its not at least a half dozen guys then it would not be worth it." So Im really hoping there are some guys who want to get their race on...because Im not going to buy a frickin' trophy kart this year just to go race in NEATV.

I don't think there will be a big trophy kart turnout way up there...
With all the guys from the NE that drive ofr hours to race GNCC you shouldn't have a hard time finding racers...

They have posted the rules etc. on their forum and are gearing up to race but NO Pilot or Oddy considerations are listed. They actually have written in their rues that UTV class machines must have two seats. I wonder what they would do if we all just showed up to race at a few. If we planned it and had a bunch of guys come to agreed upon races that worked for everyone interested. (really just to have some fun of course) I would put money on it that we would have the biggest class on the track. I hear that there have been very few trophy kart sales as well as rzr and other UTV's. So once my buggy is ready for comp...I would love to go hit one or two. I do know that on the website the president has said the tracks will be VERY toned down and MOSTLY SEPERATE from the MX track...as he is aware that jumping buggies and UTV's is not like a wheeler at all.
