Been waiting for a log time for the above story to be told doubt we will ever get the full story because of the "protect the president" ( like Iran Contra scandal remember that one) mentality and the culture in Washington.

I don't understand, every person in power gives their 'friends' the inside track on deals, savings, etc. Some get caught, some don't..........

Don't get me wrong politicians are the worst sort, they're all corrupt to some degree, but no more than anti-gun advocate with a CCW, the anti-abortionist who's daughter went on vacation a few states over for a few weeks or most Catholics (sorry, had to pick a religious group, don't mean to offend, just the first one that came to mind).

Most skirt the law by the closest of margins while others seem to think they're immune or above it.

From what I've read and seen and personally experienced, bribing officials in most 3rd world countries is just about the ONLY way to get a contract for anything, it's SOP for them, if Haliburton didn't do it someone else would have or more likely Haliburton was just the 'highest bidder'.

I'm sure when the current president's term is up there will be a slew of letters and/or pardons to relieve his cronies of any legal ties to any wrong doings just like there always is.....

Yep, we live in the greatest nation on the planet, but its being run by the GBDBM...the Great Big Douche Bag Machine. Washington is full of corrupt kroanies only interested in fleecing their own pockets, while forgetting their job is to represent the People. Nothing for the People, by the People anymore. Then they start these "countdowns" to make their jobs look so ridiculously hard.

It makes me sick to see the President standing in front of Congress (and this country) with Biden and Boehner in the background. And these Republican candiddumbasses...its like a line-up of Scooby Doo evil-doers!
