well went riding friday and saturday. the new front end handled great. the shocks are amazing and provide a super smooth ride. turns nice and tight, when your off the throttle. if your full on the throttle it just want to push through the turn. over all i am very pleased with the outcome of the conversion. my tach that i installed works really great as well, clutch engages at about 4800-4900 rpm, it the old yellow square spring, might by the new purple on. but i did notice that it wa a a little boggy at take offs, but once it cleans up it basically holds right at 8000 rpm. there is only two issues that i have come across. first it doesn't fit on my trailer anymore, and second and the worst. blew the Engine late saturday after about 2 hours of hard riding, not sure what happened it ran great all day friday and was running great saturday as well. the longer we rode the more it was heating up, going into the wind was no problem but coming back home with the wind towards my back is when thing started to go south, and towards the end right before it stalled you could hardly get on the throttle. will pull Engine tomorrow and do a leak down. i have some video of the ride going to try and edit it though before i post it

Damn Fully!front end looks great, nice job.

I forget if you mentioned it,are those the stock offset rims for your hub/spindles?

Have you ever driven a pilot? Would you say the push is worse?

never even seen a pilot in person before..the offset is what ever douglas offered for the trx 450r, its not the factory offset i know that for sure. when your in the dirt and grass it turns alright, but when your punch it, it lifts the front end up and the tires just have no traction to turn, so if you let off the front kind of dives a bit and digs in and turns.

Do you still have the factory 450 front wheels?Or know someone who will lend you a pair to try?

This might solve two problems, make it steer better and fit your trailer. :-)

I would like to see the vid when you get a chance.

Sorry to hear about the Engine failure. They are right, now is the time for a water cooled head. If you are looking for some OEM 450R rims with some nice tires I do have a nice set that I would like to sell.

It's time for the 360 liquid cylinder to get put back in. Tomorrow I will start tearing apart the Engine. And see what happened

one this idid notice, me and my bother were riding down by the river, its really low right now and theres miles of beach. it was wet from the rain couple days before, it seemed more sluggish on the sand beach than it did on hard pack ground at the farm. my bro was riding his raptor 700 and he would smoke me every time we raced. wasn't even a contest for him
