I'm selling my 1990 Honda Pilot. It has a Rotax 583 in it. Runs good with plenty of power. It has an issue after I kill the Engine, it likes to flood. It has long travel front end, and rack and pinion steering. I would say the Pilot is in fair condition. Everything works, but the emergency brake. Trans shifts good. Have some extra tires including 2 sets of paddles. $3500 obo. If interested send me your email and I'll send some pics and answer any questions you might have.
Thanks Mike.

I see you are offering to send pics, but could you post some on the thread please? I would like to see how you did the sled swap. Also, what is wrong with the parking break? Is the cable frozen? Or does it just need to be adjusted? (You pull the handle and the break doesnt grab?) Where are you located as well?
Sorry for all the questions. Thanks.

What carbs are you using that it floods when you kill the Engine?

I live in Klamath Falls Oregon 97603. When I bought the pilot the E brake was roemoved and I haven't looked into another one. The rotax has the stock carbs that came with the Engine, I read that the older skidoos had this problem. I'm not sure if it might be just the float bowl level, but not for sure. I'll try to post some pics later after I get off work.

Try turning off the gas before killing the Engine, let it run a minute to lower the fuel level?

I know nothing bout sled carb setups really but have seen some when pulled off the sleds some had all kinds of hoses and some sort of complicated venting system that looked like problems waiting to happen I am sure a sharp sled guy could give a solution to the problem.

Sorry to see your selling.

Any pics?

Price sounds right.

Any of the stock parts that was removed for the conversion left for sale including nuts and bolts?

Well, I gave it a try to load some pics of the pilot, but it kept telling me my picture files were invalid. Sorry about this. If anyone else wants pics send me your email.
Mike.

I agree on shutting the fuel off and let it run a minute. I do to all my toys if they're gonna sit any more than a few minutes. Always a good idea. Several years ago I bought a ski doo that needed a complete rebuild. I took it to a local guy and he rebuilt it top to bottom.(Don did this one for me Hoser) It ran really good and one day I walked up and pulled the rope. BOOM! Apparently the Engine was full of fuel. Bent a rod and probably more in the bottom end. Didn't look further. That was the end of my snowmobile career.

Just don't run it until it stalls.Oil in the gas,no gas in the cylinder,no oil in the cylinder.
