Make sure you know what your buying ask for more/better detailed pictures of everything looking at the fade on the parts you can see (almost faded white) anything plastic is probably junk and will fall apart, will assume anything rubber is dry rot, look at the shifter the knob is missing.

Why is the top end removed from the Engine, crank protected or all rusted up, see rust add 600 bux to make the Engine run again not including what needs done to top end, cylinder on last bore add 450.00 to sleeve and rebuild top end you could easily spend 1000 bux on the Engine alone.

Looks like they were able to remove the axles from the trans but how are the splines, assume after looking at plastic all the CV boots are junk and need replaced.

How much of the nuts and bolts small parts are missing?

Guy could spend less than 8 hrs reassembling the whole Pilot and get much more than his 1600 buy it now price as a roller with a Engine in need of a rebuild he is not spending the after noon assembling for a reason...

All that said if the Pilot was with in 4 hrs drive I would be on my way to look at it with a trailer and cash if it looked complete.

Like I've said a million times, people love to get a pilot for 2000 and under in bad shape and dump 5000 into them 200, 300, 400 dollars at a time instead of paying 4500-5000 for a clean running pilot, doesn't matter to me what ever gets them into a pilot and saves another one from the junk yard.

absolutely. I love taking heaps of junk, and turning them into a chunk of gold. i started with one of the most run down pilots and ended up with a really awesome machine. Only part i am not happy with is my ability to tune these carbs. I am taking it out this weekend for some more tuning.

I plan on closely watching this auction. I will bid if it goes above reserve at a decent price. i cant pay 1600 plus another 600 for shipping, makes no sense. Could find a complete machine for not much more locally.

Man I wish I could, I still have that 90 I bought in NJ from member collin back in the day at my garage awaiting a full restore. I might buy this to be honest for a future restore of combine the 2 for a sweet Pilot, so hurry up fellas!!!!
I also have the TRX project going currently as well here, so the timing might be poor for this proejct to get up and running in 2012 if purchased.

Did somebody get to this seller? I was high bidder, went to buy it now and the listing was removed exactly the same time I purchased it. Did somebody here purchase this by chance? I hope so--------

if the lights on that pile of junk tell any kind of story that thing sat outside and BBQed. you can tell by the colors on the frame. I bought 1 not running for 2700 in very good condition, 150 bucks later and she runs like new another for 3000 running with all kinds of extra goodies, extra new side pods, new fenders, 8 extra tires helmets, enough oil to put Oklahoma out of business, and it was delivered to me. If this sat outside with the Engine open to the elements?!?! and BBQed on top of that what are you getting for 1600 bucks?? Good luck, I hope it works out for you
