Here are some close up pictures of my Pilot driven clutch, looks like the plating (chrome or nickel?)
is starting to wear through, I will look around and see if I can find someone to strip off the old plating 
and plate it again, there is no wear on the metal surface and If you lay a straight edge on the clutch
there is only about .0005 difference between the plated and worn area.

This is the driven off the basket case, you can see it also is starting to show signs of wear.
