In the next series of pictures you will see the cylinder, head and piston after it was taken 
apart and before it was cleaned.





The carbon on the exhaust was removed using carburetor cleaner and a rag, That is one of 
the benefits of a polished exhaust port. Further cleaning will bring it back to the mirror finish.








If you look close you can see the burn pattern on the head.



You can see where a friend of mine already cleaned up the ports and made some flow corrections.
