I talked to Roy from Quality Drive Systems today. He said that the last time they did a mandrel run of the belts they up fronted the cost for Marv. This time they need the money upfront to do a run and Marv did not want to do that. He said that he did just mail out the last one to someone that bought it from Marv. They would only charge for the amount of belts that they end up with which is usually 28-31 belts per run. They quoted me about $34 each plus shipping which is just under $1100. I don't have the cash to do this right now but maybe someone else does. The number on the belt that I put on the forum earlier is just like a lot number. Their part number is actually QDS-125. He said if someone wanted to do a run of these belts he could put any name on them or he could put TUFF 400 if you wanted to continue to use it. So Hoser we could be buying PilotOdyssey.com belts if you wanted to do this.

I would only want to have a run of belts made going through Marv at 4x4 tuff he is the guy who has the personal contacts to have the belts made he also has the exact dimensions (honda spec) to make the belts too, Marv also knows what rubber and material compound to have the belts made to so the belts last the FIRST batch Marv had made didnt last and were low quality all belts after that are rock solid I have tried to tear them up on my 440 Pilot and have never had one fail yet.
Anybody have any experience with the belts that quality drive systems had made and is selling?
I wont be fronting any money for group buys but would participate in a group buy if Marv or someone else wanted to put together a group buy on belts you can put me down for 3 belts I only want to buy belts Marv supervised the fabrication of their is just too many grades and types of materials with these belts I do not want to live through another batch of bad belts warranted or not, Marv has it perfected why mess with perfection.
If someone wants to put the PilotOdyssey.com name on the belts I am ok with that but would rather see the 4X4 Tuff name on them just like the originals Marv had made.
