So plastic is the new gold eh

If your trending it the price of gold is going down price of Honda Pilot plastic is going up, once Honda runs out of the rest of the Pilot plastic the value of mine will increase better faster than if I had invested in gold.
Do you think at some point Pilots and Pilot parts will nose dive and just fade away?
I agree gold is a terrible investment. It's had a spike since the economy checked itself in 2008. Only does good when the nuts think the world is coming to an end. Investing in CD's would be a "better" investment but those usually suck to. Might as well keep cash in a mason jar buried in the back yard.
I think the bottom will fall out of the pilot parts market someday. Everything comes to an end. I don't see it happening real soon. When the middle age/older generation start to retire and not goof around with this stuff it will take a hit. Lot of stoops in my generation that don't appreciate stuff like this. Most common phrase I heard when i had an Odyssey was "I'd love to roll that thing." Those people weren't allowed to sit in it. The destructive mentality doesn't do anything for me. When a manufacturer makes something new that's just as fun with parts availability it will really hurt it. That's a tall order IMO. Until then it will just increase.
What happened to your ody. Pics? Why did you sell it? Must be a tease to be on here and not have an ody anymore.
I don't allow anyone to ride the pilots/briggs cars unless they have a nice pilot of their own.
I think NOS parts will always pull a good dollar. There are a lot of restorers out there that are into the old Honda toys. (look at the bikes from the 70's for example.
