We have talked about quads on the big ride.

I will bring mine if I can cram it into the trailer, should know tomorrow if it all will fit. I have been having a hip problem, so, if it doesn't fit, I am not gonna sweat it.

On a positive note, I installed a roof air and fantastic fan in the rear of the trailer, now I am thinking I should have bought a larger generator so I could run both at the same time.

If I make this trip I could bring my 325 Trail Boss along. It couldn't make the bigger dunes at L.S. so I wonder if its' worth bringing along? Its' no hot rod but it'll do fine for a trail machine. It will climb a very steep incline if its' dirt or rock just not sand.

I've been having a lot of trouble with a hip, so that lowers my motivation to bring the quad, but, if it fits, it will be there.

Ike, that Trail Boss would be perfect for the trails Hoser is talking about, also, the dunes at Killpecker are not real tall, so it would do fine there also.

Anyone who has one of those over the back type of canteens will likely find good use for it on the trails, as they went as far as Hoser or I could see, and that was a long way.

I got a cooler rack mounted on the ATC250R
It will hold a sixpack or better...

Are these trails really narrow ???

With the +2 axle on the Three Wheeler its damn near as wide as a stock pilot

How wide are the quads you all are bringing.....

Too many quads and not enough trikes out there.

The one trail that Hoser and I started out on seemed to have been made primarily by quads. Where we were riding the trail was kinda tight for the Drak. Hoser thought that quads with the ability to go a long way would be the best, and I have to agree. As we were looking at one trail, it looked really long.

Are these trails of sand or dirt? My Trail Boss is great on fuel economy and has racks fore & aft for water etc. so I won't be need to wear a backpack. I expect this quad to be as dependable as daylight in the morning as it always has. I need to get a spare belt even though it has a good one on it now.

Sand dirt rocks my factory stock 400Ex was very at home on them trails, you can do them in a Pilot but they are a little tight I think we could cover more ground on quads on these trials than with Pilots.

fuel economy would be nice.

We saw trails that headed up into the hills above and beyond the dunes, also saw one that headed way off into the distance. Due to the blow sand in the area, I would expect them to be a mixture of dirt, rock and sand. These are not trails that you would want to be using sand paddles on.

Your machine is perfect for what we saw, don't know about what we didn't see. This riding are is way out in the middle of nowhere. When you are at the dunes, there are mountains to the north and distant west, sagebrush to the south and east. The trail that intrigued Hoser was off to the east as far as we could see.....bring plenty of gas.
