It must be a pos if the guy is already selling it. He could at least put air filters on it and pretend he cared about the Engine.
http://sacramento.craigslist.org/snw/4809981190.html. Anybody know why this Odyssey would have rear amber colored lights?

I could see him now, I will double my money on this thing LAUGHING my butt off. It must be something about that area, there is a guy on e bay tring to sell a well used pilot for 6K, then I said something to him in the line of your on drugs he wrote me back swearing he would get it now its at 5700 and I gave him the same line. About 3500 people will start to nibble on that 1. This one I don't think he will be able to give it away. I thought about it before for a project but 6K is INSANE

Well I dunno if I should feel stupid or not but I bought this... Runs great handles very well just revs pretty high (4k) before it engages! Looking into getting the clutch tightened or springs replaced to correct it. Other than that some electrical such as kill switch and the starter needed to be re wired.
I'm into it for $3200 including purchase price a new battery and some electrical work! Is that bad? Lol oh well I'm enjoying it...

4k is right where my 670 pilot clutch hits. that is the stock skidoo setting.

Thanks, I hope to get it to Glamis or Pizmo soon... I'd like to get it to engage alittle sooner because it has way to much torque off the line!

Or just more throttle control, you should be able to get it up to 4K with 1/4 or less throttle, if you get it to engage too soon you may have a hard time getting it up on the pipe.

I hope everything works out for you, that is more like it, it looked like some one bought it on the cheap and tried to stick it to some unsuspecting person. The price is much more like it. I thought real had about buying it till thaT 6000 PRICE TAG SHOWED ITS UGLY HEAD. Put some smaller tires on the rear, a 24 11 10 those looked gigantic and will take more to get rolling. Good luck

The craigslist post are deleted so I wanted to make sure were talking about the same one.I had texted him when he had it listed without pics, this is when he was asking 2200.He sent me some pics. Its a different phone number then the one listed for 6000,so maybe someone bought it for 2200 then turned around and tried to get 6000 for it?
I don't know if anything is different from my pics and whet it was like when you got it.Is this it?

Looks like the high performance ATV front suspension with the rack and pinion steering to me.

Like to see more detail pics and see what they did to adapt the sled driven clutch to the Pilot input shaft.

No forethought given to the air box, gas tank and exhaust, typical no thought butcher conversion project bet it has 30% greater center of gravity than a stock Pilot .

Hey guys, I'm very happy with it!! Just got back from a weekend at Glamis and It did everything once I put some paddles on it. I have a video and will load pics shortly. In my opinion it's still got way to much torque right off the line. Hopefully when I post some pics one of you guys can give me a suggestion on how to get a better takeoff. Compression is at 140 in the left cylinder and 132-135 in the right I'm hoping a good carb cleaning, spark plugs and cleaning the fuel filter/ lines will correct that (Yes I know that's unlikely and I will probably end up changing the top end or one cylinder).

Also yes that's the one from the pics, it has K&N filters on it and all the metal on the a-arms, exhaust and frame was re painted with combination of red and black. A much bigger radiator and fan that my brother and I threw on there from a 94 civic lx. I'm going to change the fuel tank to aluminum one from ebay as soon as I find a good deal on one and finish this last tank.

I would replace the K&Ns for some uni foam filters and good sticky FFT oil, the K&N is fine for street or a boat but it will not stop the sand like a foam filter.

Either do like Kuma said, or wrap the K&N's in some black UNI bulk foam, then wrap that in some nylons. Make sure to oil the foam, and don't use UNI foam, it likes to drip off and doesn't stick to the foam. I use PJ-1, seems to work really well.

Some board members and i are planning on a Dumont trip for President's day weekend if you are interested.

I love the power it has and the works suspension is great too! Only downside is the sled Engine has so much play before it actually takes off and it's torque is alittle much for the dirt trails... I'm starting to miss my fl400s nimbleness and handling... I may have it up for sale or trade for an fl400 soon

Here are some pics!

Its all in the throttle control! My pilot has a 670 and the stall is 4k rpm. I trail ride it all the time and have no problems. I can take off without the slightest wheelspin. So either you aren't used to the throttle yet, or have other clutching issues! You should not have any problems with that 583, its a great Engine
