im looking to buy a pilot. my wife had a chance to drive a really nice original pilot & she loved it. ive had a hard time getting her to go out when its on the dirt bikes or the three wheelers. she rocked the pilot & was able to keep up and go almost anywhere that me & my buddies did in their vw bug sand rails. she has been talking about how fun it was and how she felt safe for the last couple days. im getting the hint. if i can get her to go out and like it, ill be able to get her to come with me more which would be nice. i like doing things with her.
what im looking for is a well taken care of pilot. one with a long travel kit would be ideal. im not in a huge hurry to buy one, so i don't mind keeping my eye out for a nice one. i don't mind mods as long as they are done well.
i don't mind paying what its worth. i will not try to trade you a 1986 bronco that only needs the valves adjusted, or a chevy vega with a bad motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )). i also don't need to pay you $50 every two weeks while letting you hold my 1942 willys overland truck as collateral while i take the pilot home to drive. (the willys is a true story. i sold a 1966 mustang that way). no money orders that are for more, so you can western union it to my buddy the prince in Nigeria as a favor to me, and heck, keep some for your troubles.
ill just pay with normal american money.
im located in utah, but im not scared to have it shipped.

haha that's some funny shit.

How about a non long travel Pilot I need to sell my wifes. Mechanically its great cosmetically its not so great the plastic is all their but has plenty of cracks, it has a log list of mods I will list a few.

Engine has been completely rebuilt using all Honda parts, new Honda rod, crank bearings, seals, gasket set, top end has a new Honda piston ,rings, circ clips and is on stock bore, the Engine has been ported, it has a Speedchaser cool head viewtopic.php?t=3891 with a 49cc dome runs on 91-93 pump gas at sea level. No defects, damage or casting flaws were found during the rebuild/hoserization process.

Has a Keihin 39mm PWK carburetor, the exhaust is a Power Pros Torque Pipe
and it has the long quieter silencer, the one I bought is the hand formed cone pipe not their newer stamped pipe (the individual cone pipes perform better the cone angle play a part in performance.)

Drive clutch is a like new Power-Bloc Clutch has maybe 30 hours on it. Driven clutch was taken apart and serviced, like new belt.

Recent Honda battery (Yuasa)

Front shocks are WORKS with dual rate springs and reservoirs. Rear shocks are stock but I changed the oil in them went to a 10W oil for better dampening over stock in the whoops and small bumps at speed.

Tie Rods have been hoserized

Rear arms has been hoserized. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=13158
Tires and rims are Honda not aftermarket rims are straight tires have about 70% tread front and back.

Front bumper is a ATV Racing Desert style.

The whole Pilot has been gone over mechanically to ensure its in good working order so their will be no surprises like bad brakes or wheel bearings, the Pilot has been setting for a few years so I will need to pull it out of the shop and go over the whole Pilot again to refresh myself I am sure their is more I am forgetting, clean the carb take for a ride change fluids etc. (ride prep).

The Pilot has been stored in a conditioned space (heat and A/C) since I bought it from Pilotman in the spring of 2000 http://www.pilotodyssey.com/basket.htm $5000.00 OBO let me know if your interested I will pull it out take current detail pictures next week.

here is pictures of the one i let my wife drive. i believe it was its 2nd or 3rd ride ever. still had the flash on the center of the oem tires. i am working on getting a shop big enough to have a show room so i can show off all my original excellent condition bikes & 3 wheelers. it would be a shame to let a machine this nice get all worn out. i posted a picture of my little 1973 atc70.
