hey guys...

ages ago i put a 38mm mikuni carb on my 250, stock Engine with modified exhaust...i havent run it at all in 7 months because of a leg injury until last ngiht...
i noticed the was loads and loads of fuel spewing out the overlows from the carb. can anyone think of a reason why this is.? it isnt really flooding the Engine, its running pretty rich but not flooding...
i was thinking it could be the two way valve.? is there any way to check its working correctly.?

The float is sticking after setting for 7 months?

hey thanks for the reply....um no its not that i checked that and its all sweet...im thinking maybe the floats need adjusting, but i have no specs to go off...do i just adjust it by trial and error.? move it up a tiny bit till it gets better.?

How are the Engine mounts?

Is the idle low, you might try turning up the idle a little so the Engine don't shake as much and see if it stops coming out the over flow if not then you will need to lower the fuel level slightly inside the carb.

Gotta be that. Can you tap the carb and have the flow stop?

The floats are not difficult to level off--the float line should be level with the carb body (difficult to explain, but if you hold the carb upside own with the bowl off, the flaots should look level/parallel with the gasket surface).
