Im working on re-assembling my rear brake caliper after dissasembling and powdercoating. I am curious if the seals should have any type of lubrication during assembly, or should they be assembled dry? thanks

use the type of brake fluid that is recommended for it
do not assemble dry

will get a few pictures in the morning. I got an Eastwood hotcoat powdercoat kit and ive been powdercoating some little things. Anything that will fit in a toaster oven lol

Here are a few pictures. Not a professional job, but this was only like the 4th or 5th thing ive done. Still learning! I really like the way the powdercoat system works. Much nicer than paint IMO

Not yet, going to save those. The seals in this caliper were still in good shape. It didnt leak at all when i tore it apart so i re-assembled with the old seals. if it does leak i will use the new ones. I just want to keep those for as long as i can. never know when one will break/crack and i will be needing a set.
