I have a fl350 that the
Powerbloc clutch blew up on. I was going to put the Comet 102c from my other one on it and ,if my son liked the setup, buy another 102. When attempting this I found out that the threads are just about gone in the output shaft on the Engine. You can stick the 100 mm bolt in close to a half an inch before it grabs any threads. Has anyone ever tried anything to remedy this without doing a complete tear down and replacing the shaft? Healy coils? drill and tap to a bigger size? I think the 102 would allow for a little bigger. I could make a stud, screw it in,
weld it and use a nut to hold the clutch on if I never ever wanted to take the clutch off again. Doesn't sound like a great plan. There isn't a thing wrong with this
Engine if I could tighten up the clutch. I haven't seen anybody on here wanting to give away perfect running 350 engines so I guess I'll have to fix it somehow. Ha Ha. All suggestions welcome.
