Hello. I am doing the dual snorkel intake mods to 3 of my FL 350 Odysseys and am in need of 2 of the brackets that hold the hose to the frame. I have been lurking around this site for about a month now learning all I can about the FL350. Any help would be appreciated. I tried the number for Triple E and it was disconnected.
I just bought 4 of these about a month ago and am having a blast with them. I took them to the Oregon dunes last week over spring break and they ran like a champion with the air box lid removed and would not run well at all with the air box lid on.
Thanks!!!
Dave ::-:

I believe he is looking for.....

17318-VM0-770

Which is discontinued.

I just use velcro strips to hole the hose to the frame. They work well and are easily removed when you need to do work on the intake system.

WARNING! I you are going to ride in the sand with the air box lid off, you might as well buy parts to rebuild the Engine after every trip out. Sand is very abrasive and will destroy an Engine quickly. If the Engine runs better with the air box lid off then you need to re-jet your Ody for the altitude you are running.

Thanks for the tips! I ran these Odysseys for a week without the lids on and they still seem fine. They are all totally stock and on original 27 year old pistons. I am in the process of the dual intake mod. I will only be running them at sea level, Oregon dunes. Air is between 50 and 68 degrees most all year.

The bracket that holds the tube to the frame is exactly what I'm looking for..

Thanks!

Please carefully pull the air filter and look into your intake tube that goes to the carb with a light the tube should look like brand new shiny black rubber, then take a white paper towel and wipe the inside of the tube see if you get in dust.

That sand is a killer even with a fresh clean well oiled filter in place its also why we recommend you installing pre filters on your dual intake mod, you will love the dual intake mod BTW.

Hopefully it does not look like this.

Please consider removing the top end of your Engine and inspecting the piston sometime soon, 350's are notorious for breaking the piston skirts then the broken skirt getting wedges between the crank shaft and crank cases and punching a hole in the bottom of the Engine, it pretty much takes a 200.00 replace the piston job and turns it into a find another Engine or have the cases welded up job, replacing all the bearings, seals, gaskets pretty much 800-1000 dollar job

Cool thing about a 2 stroke Engine is it will run like brand new right up until seconds before it it locks up and needs hundreds of dollars in repairs its very rare you will get any indications its about to poofkaboom this is why Honda says in the manual to take it apart and inspect it every 30 hrs of run time.

Not trying to scare you or make you paranoid just share important info with you before not after :-)

Prefilter mod on other machines might be useful for ideas viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8929

Either #9 or # 18 in the pics? Service Honda shows them both still available

both are hard to find items and discontinued. The #18 item is a rare restore piece these days. Never see them around.

I'm finding everything for these things to be relatively expensive. At that price, I'll use the Velcro strap I was recommended!

I have at least six complete sets of those in my stash somewhere, they're going on the 350's and pilots when I get a chance to finish the dual intakes, if I can dig them up in the next few weeks I can post a pic.
