What a weekend, (April 15-16) When I got to The Badlands there were about 1000 4x4 trucks, They were having their annual Super Lift Jamboree, When I went to sign up they told me we could ride but only until 4 pm then we had to be loaded up and out!I pulled in and started to unload no Kiowa ("I will be there when they open") and no Gottaride/MGR it was not long and MudPilot cam over and introduced himself (killer nice guy) after about 10 minutes a guy pull's up in a van gets out and says "are you hoser?" turns out Gottaride and MGR were broke down on RT. 41 and needed transmission fluid. So it was off to Napa to pick up transmission fluid and go see if we could help. Turns out the transmission was over heating and blowing fluid out the vent, so after adding 4 quarts of fresh fluid MGR nursed it to the badlands. By time we got to the badlands Kiowa was there he had a flat tire. It was pretty obvious that his pickup was not going to pull the trailer home so MGR was going to ride all day then go home with the truck and come back the next day with the van and ride all day . Saturday at about 4:45 we were told to get out... so we packed up and went to Summers Camp Ground only to find out "we are not open yet come back next week" so we tried a state park 35 miles south of Attica, as we pulled in we saw the sign out front "Full" we finally found a camp ground open 1/2 mile down the road. Sunday we were riding and MGR was in the lead until he came to a hill that was too narrow for the Pilot and Odysseys to make through so he waved us on we went around the hill and made our way to the paved section of the badlands, I figure what the hell might as well try out that GPS Kiowa gave me and see what my modified Pilot will do so I went down the paved section until it turned into gravel and turned around then started my WOT run, at no less than 60.0 MPH according to the GPS something that was bouncing around the combustion chamber got wedged between the piston and cylinder and brought my motor to a screeching halt ------> Now for the pictures of my motor Gottaride was nice enough to give me a tow back to my trailer :-) All was not lost I got to meet some new people and make new friends.
Koiwa got his new bumper installed and even tested it against Gottarides FL350 ( A little love tap)
I got to put some time in the Basket Case so far this thing is running good :-)
